Laser Eye Surgery at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee

Allegretto Wave excimer laser

LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is one of the most popular vision correction procedures currently available. It has helped millions of people eliminate or reduce their dependence on glasses and contact lenses. The experienced eye surgeons at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee use LASIK to effectively correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. This sophisticated, precise procedure usually takes less than 10 minutes and many patients experience significant vision improvement by the very next day. In fact, with the advanced technology used by our surgeons to customize each patient's vision correction, most of our Nashville LASIK patients achieve 20/20 vision or better.

Always on the forefront of the latest technology and equipment, Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee was the first practice in the region to offer Z-LASIK, a blade-free vision correction procedure using the state-of-the-art Ziemer FEMTO LDV laser. Performed in combination with leading-edge diagnostic equipment and the advanced Allegretto Wave excimer laser, Z-LASIK is a relatively quick and easy vision correction procedure that leads to maximum safety, a speedy recovery and superior vision correction results. Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee eye surgeons also perform other types of refractive surgery, including LRI, AK, ALK, PRK, PTK and Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) for patients who are not candidates for LASIK. Patients who undergo laser eye surgery at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee are often able to achieve near-perfect vision, greatly reducing their dependence on traditional eyewear.

Cataract Surgery at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee

One of the most common causes of vision loss among older patients is the clouding of the eye's natural lens, also known as cataracts. The eye surgeons of Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee are able to treat this progressive eye condition with an advanced no-stitch, micro-incision cataract surgery, which involves the use of intraocular lens implants (IOLs) for vision restoration. In fact, one of the eye surgeons at Eye Health Partners' of Middle Tennessee, Dr. Daniel K. Bregman, pioneered the use of LensTec Softec HD lens implants for the best vision correction results following cataract surgery. EHP also offers ReLACS™ (Refractive Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery) which is a custom, blade-free cataract removal procedure.

In addition, Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee offers a range of premium IOLs referred to as multifocal lenses, including astigmatism-correcting AcrySof Toric lenses and the AcrySof ReSTOR, which can also be used to correct presbyopia, that pesky aging eye disorder that causes many people over the age of 40 to have to use "cheaters" or "readers" to read small print.

Dr. Bregman uses the most up-to-date implantable lenses.
